Behind closed doors,
In the silky watery feel of deep darkness,
Evil lurks.
Under every scrutiny,
In a light brighter than a thousand suns,
Good sleeps.
Evil steps out into the streets
Dressed in its cloak of secrecy,
On a mission to steal and destroy.
Good hearing the cries of those
Under the machinations of evil,
Awakens and sets out on a journey of liberation.
In between worlds, in between feelings
Good and evil meet
Like a thunderstorm.
The darkness tries to absorb the light.
The light tries to dispel the darkness;
Hence the struggle between heaven and hell.
I love the comparisons

WOW! Wonderful. I am very much into the fight between good and evil, light and dark. This poem encapsulates that so well.

Well done! So much of the turmoil we are living with today! You could have pushed it further by adding love vs.hate. They all seem to be intertwined together. 🙂

Light does dispel darkness. “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” John 1:5 But don’t let your light go out!
